With over 11 years of experience in management and healthcare, Stuart brings with him a strong skill-set, team leadership experience and an excellent reputation for relationship building amongst clients and customers.

The news comes as Co-Founder, Gavin Webb, steps down as Managing Director in order to pursue other entrepreneurial projects.

Howard Beggs, Group CEO, said: “Stuart truly encompasses trust, partnership and vision – values that underpin Bluespier’s approach to supporting customers. Stuart has been a real asset to Bluespier for over ten years and his experience of business strategy, software delivery and the healthcare landscape will be vital as we continue our ambitious plans to grow and develop. We’re delighted to have him in this new leadership position as Managing Director.”

Stuart van Rooyen, Managing Director, said: “Bluespier has a strong reputation, not only for providing best of breed clinical software, but also for establishing robust and long term working partnerships with our NHS and Private healthcare customers. I’m keen to nurture these core foundations of our business, whilst also looking at innovation; ensuring our company is driving new and exciting technology that delivers real, tangible benefits to Trusts working in very difficult landscapes.”

Gavin Webb, outgoing Managing Director, commented on the transition: “After sixteen years, it is with a heavy heart but also an excitement for the future that I hand over the role of Managing Director in order to move on to new entrepreneurial projects. Stuart has been a completely integral cog in the wheel at Bluespier as it has grown into the successful healthcare technology business it is today. I am personally delighted to see him transition into his new role to lead Bluespier in its ambitious plans for the future.”

Stuart starts immediately as Managing Director, looking after a team of over 25 software, testing, support and project management professionals. Gavin will remain with the business for a number of months in a supportive role through this transitional stage.
