Walsall healthcare selects Bluespier theatres as part of System C pas roll out

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust has signed System C to replace its patient administrative system (PAS) with a fully-integrated Medway solution that includes Bluespier Theatres.

System C will deliver an integrated clinical and administration system based on its Medway product line, replacing the current Lorenzo system supplied by DXC Technology.

The current Ormis theatre management system, also supplied by DXC, will be replaced with solutions by Bluespier Theatres, making Walsall the eighth Trust featuring the System C Bluespier integrated solution.

The IT move will see the Trust manage one single, electronic patient record across all departments, promoting data quality, accessibility and better patient care. Theatre system functionality, including scheduling, tracking and clinical assessments will all be accessible via Medway to give a seamless and efficient working process for clinical and administration staff.
