NHS TRUSTS SHARE IT BEST PRACTICE AT LATEST BLUESPIER CUSTOMER FORUM
NHS Trusts from across the country gathered in Sheffield on Tuesday, 16th May to share best practice and discuss visions for the healthcare ‘digital future’. The forum, hosted by Bluespier, one of the leading providers of theatre systems to the NHS, was attended by 15 separate Trusts and hospitals across the UK.
The agenda focused on technologies, innovations and improvements from Bluespier that could enable Trusts to create efficiencies across the theatre pathway, to create cost savings and make IT spend go further, to align clinical systems with the Five Year Forward View and to improve patient care.
Bluespier demonstrated key new enhancements and systems for the first time, including the hotly anticipated Bluespier Mobile – which is set to transform the way theatre staff can access patient records and update information.
Gavin Webb, Managing Director at Bluespier said: "The customer forum focused on bringing together Trusts and hospitals with similar challenges and concerns to share best practice, ideas and success stories. It was also an ideal opportunity for us to keep our customers informed of the Bluespier vision for the next three years, and how our work and developments will continue to support them in delivering their own IT objectives.”
“In light of the recent malware attacks and other IT challenges in the news this week, we are delighted to be facilitating collaborative working with the goal of developing an innovative, digitally mature and secure NHS.”
Simon Cruickshank, Business Analyst and Systems Manager, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust said: “The customer day allowed for constructive conversation with both Bluespier and fellow trusts, and I found this immensely useful. The candour and openness of Bluespier colleagues built confidence that we were helping to shape future solutions together.”
The next Customer Forum Day is expected to be hosted in November.
Bluespier theatre management software modules are currently used in more than 60 NHS and private hospitals in the UK and Ireland and are designed to enable hospitals to manage theatre, trauma, anaesthetics, pre-theatre and stock activities more efficiently and effectively to ensure the best possible patient care.
