Professor Keith Willett, National Clinical Director for Trauma Care, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford

We have been using Bluespier Patient Manager™ at our Trust since 2007.   It replaced an in-house database that tracked inpatient admissions, operations and discharges. The changeover to Bluespier was easy and we have been able to expand its use to currently include:

1)  Clinical patient management - inpatient and outpatient activity is now possible

2)  Research and audit - reports are easy to generate and interpret

3)  Administration and clerical - all letters are generated from bespoke templates that save time and stored to allow easy retrieval from anywhere in the department

The system is easy to operate for all staff particularly junior doctors who need to be up and running quickly.  Finally, Bluespier have been extremely responsive and accommodating of requests for changes and the ongoing support provided has been excellent.

Alex Reading, Clinical Director, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Worcestershire Acute NHS Trust

The Trauma & Orthopaedic department has been using Bluespier Patient Manager™ for over 7 years and we have seen the system evolve and grow over that time.  It is now being used not just in our department but across the whole Trust.  The system has assisted the department in the management of our patients and the introduction of the Trauma Board over a year ago has been a real benefit to keeping track of and effectively managing our Trauma cases.  Our department has also found the system extremely useful for audit due to the quality of relevant clinical data that we capture

The system is well liked by users who also find it easy to use which is indicative of the good uptake from junior doctors.  Bluespier has provided a very high level of service to our department and are extremely responsive to feedback on the system.  I would recommend Bluespier, without hesitation, to any of my colleagues in other hospitals.

Charlotte Hitchcock, Theatre Manager, the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch

Previous theatre systems still left me doing the majority of paperwork and analysis with data that had been entered seemingly going into a void.   Now reports are available at the click of a button and can take any form I choose. The information is reliable and I no longer have to search for the rationale behind recorded activity.  The system goes beyond theatre to the wards and clinics and means we have continuity of information throughout the hospital.

Debbie Upson, Theatre Manager, Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The flexibility and configurability of Bluespier Theatre Manager™  has meant we have easily been able to adapt the system to fit into the working practices of all our theatre suites.  Clinicians and theatre staff like the system and find it easy to use and as a result there is a high level of buy-in.  We are now able to capture data that was previously unavailable or prohibitively time consuming to capture.  This data is now assisting us in improving theatre management and utilisation.

Colin Coulthurst, Project Manager, Harrogate Foundation Trust

Using Bluespier Theatre Manager™   has created dynamic Theatre Management that performs accurately and timely with information that is shared and accessible throughout the Trust.  The system has been well received by the Theatre staff largely due to the emphasis placed by Bluespier upon providing practical, easy to use data capture functions.  This is a very powerful and useful tool for addressing queries and pro-actively managing theatre utilisation.
